PREAMBLE
Roseve Educational Centre was started on 6th January 1992 with ECDE Class.
The enrolment was 4 pupils and it sat on a ¼ acre of land. Today it sits on 8 acres of land with an enrolment of between 450 and 500 pupils and runs from ECDE to class 8. It has twenty one classrooms which accommodate these pupils comfortably.
PERFORMANCE
The school performs well and the last three consecutive years we have posted mean scores of 376.25, 368.68 and 378.25 respectively. The highest mean score was 384.21 in 2003. Due to the exemplary performance our school was identified as one of the ten schools in Nandi County which are Piloting the New 2 – 6 – 6 – 3 Curriculum of Education. We piloted PP1 and PP2 which were previously referred to us Middle class and Top class in ECDE.
GENERAL OUT – LOOK
The school is secured 24/7 with two lockable gates ably manned by Wilkos Security Guards. Inside the compound are between 450 and 500 pupils about 180 of them are boarders and the rest are day scholars. There are three buses which ferry pupils to and from school daily. A good number of pupils are brought to and picked from the school by their parents/guardians.
There are enough dormitories for both boys and girls and bed capacity that can accommodate up to 300 pupils.
MAN – POWER
The school has employed professionally qualified teaching staff and responsible non teaching staff who run the school very well. Every department in the school has its own supervisor i.e. kitchen, ground’s/cleaning and teaching staff. They are all answerable to the school Headteacher.
OUT PUT
Our school has produced personalities in various fields like Law, Doctors, Engineers and Teachers among others. The school’s alumnae usually come back to give motivational talks to the candidates and the rest of Roseve family. They are all proud to be associated with Roseve.
FUTURE PLANS
The school is planning to start a secondary school wing that will accommodate junior and senior grades of the Competence Based Curriculum of Education. Land has already been set aside for the same.
